Terms & Conditions
House rules for all guests staying at Golden Creeper Homestay, Kodaikanal. Please read these carefully before your stay.
General Regulations
- Guests are requested not to pursue any commercial or illegal activity in the property, including the use of the host's internet connection to access illegal sites.
- Guests should not take out anything from the property that belongs to the owner.
- The guest will keep in safe custody all valuable items and money they have brought. The housekeeper or manager will not be responsible for any loss or theft that the guest may claim.
- Guests are required to be alert to turn off gas, stoves, switches, and appliances when not in use. Any damage due to such negligence will make the guest liable for all losses.
- Guests must hand over the house keys to the caretaker at the time of check-out.
Security
- Whenever guests leave the villa, it is their responsibility to ensure all windows and doors are closed and locked — to maintain security, prevent rain water damage, and to avoid insects, mosquitoes, and animals from entering the premises.
- The owner and caretaker will not be responsible for any accident or self-harm that a guest may have had during their stay.
Footwear
- Guests are requested to leave their footwear at the villa entrance and use the ones provided inside the villa.
Noise & Neighbourhood
- Guests are fully responsible for the safety and security of their children at all times.
- Music or volume must be kept to the lowest after 10 PM as it would disturb neighbours. If there is loud noise, neighbours may lodge a complaint with local authorities. Guests will have to handle the authorities and bear any charges if any.
Visitors
- Guests must occupy the property as per the number of people booked initially. Extra people or guests will not be allowed to stay at the property.
- This property has a maximum capacity of 12 guests. This limit must be adhered to, failing which the booking will not be honoured.
Events
- Parties and large gatherings of any kind are strictly prohibited at the property.
- A cleaning charge of ₹1,000 will be imposed in case of extra cleaning work due to post-party consequences such as vomiting.
Pets
- Pets are not allowed at the property.
Balcony & Deck Areas
- Do not lean on the balcony glass railings. Guests must supervise any babies and children at all times while using the balcony areas.
- Cloth drying is only permitted on the drying racks. Guests are advised not to hang clothes on the balcony or terrace glass railings.
Power & Backup
- Electrical room heaters will be provided on request.
- In case of any power shutdowns, only lights and sockets on the inverter connection will work on the in-house UPS.
Smoking
- No smoking inside the property. Smoking is allowed only in the balcony and terrace areas.
- No chewing of tobacco or spitting in and around the property. Cigarette butts must be disposed of properly in the ashtray provided — not thrown on property grounds. Any damage due to this will be debited to the guest account.
Damages & Breakages
- Guests are requested not to move or change the layout or integrity of any furniture, artifacts, cutlery, linens, or decorations from their original place anywhere on the property.
- Guests, their friends, or whomever involved will be held responsible for any damage or loss of these items at Golden Creeper.
Compliance
- Breach of any of these house rules is a breach of the Terms and Conditions of occupancy. The owner and manager reserve the right to terminate permission to occupy and to evict any guests or visitors from the rental booking if they refuse to follow the above rules.
By completing your booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to adhere to the above rules and conditions on behalf of all guests in your party.
